I am retired from 34 years in Public Education and 5 years in local level Juvenile Justice. All of my professional life was dedicated to helping children of all ages to learn and succeed in life. I have been fully retired for the past 10 years, am 79 years old, and use my spare time to write these blogs and encourage young adults and men of all ages to make knowing and serving Jesus Christ the first goal in their lives.
Although I was born and lived the first 26 years of my life in Eastern Kansas, I have lived in Colorado the past 53 years, long enough to consider myself a native, I think! Most of my education career was in Jefferson County, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. Since 1990 I have lived on The Western Slope of Colorado with my wife, Joyce Paul (Armour). We are blessed to live near our two daughters and several of our grandchildren.
Age, health issues, and personal experiences have taught me many lessons over the past 79 years, some of which I hope to share with you on theHauberk. I am not a professional writer, but do enjoy sharing my thoughts in writing since I must spend many hours each day in my recliner. If you visit one of the many coffee shops in Grand Junction, Colorado, you may see me enjoying one-on-one time with one of my friends. You’ll know me by my wheeled walker parked beside the table and the white beard on my chin. I thank God each day that I have been blessed by still being mobile on my feet and in the car (even though I no longer drive).
Please feel free to email me or respond to any of my blogs. I look forward to meeting you!
